Adrian dropped me off back at Matthew's around 8am on his way to work. JP and Matthew were still asleep and groggy when I knocked on the door. They went back to sleep and I decided to do a bit of work on the website. I had already showered and eaten breakfast at Adrian's, so I was feeling very awake. (Note: I tried some Vegamite on some toast, very, um, unique, flavor!) Around 10:30 I decided to sleep a bit more. Woke up around 12:15 and prodded Matthew and JP to get up, since we were supposed to meet James at a restaurant for brunch at 1pm. We drove down to the "Indiana Tea House", a very nice restaurant overlooking a beautiful beach.
I realized that this was the first time I'd ever seen the Indian Ocean. Not that it looked much different from any other ocean, but it was cool all the same.
The beach below was full of people enjoying the sun and playing volleyball, while the water was occupied by many surfers and boogie-boarders. Looked like lots of fun. Hopefully I can find a place to rent a wetsuit on Monday when we go to the beach.

After a leisurely 2 and a half hour lunch, we drove down to the port town of Freemantle for some coffee. This is where the big America's Cup race was held.
Afterwards we drove back to Matthew's for a quick nap before heading out to dinner. The plan is for tonight to be somewhat quiet, in preparation for the big dance party tomorrow night. At about 8 we headed down to NorthBridge, a section of Perth where most of the night life and restaurants are. We wandered through several streets and over to Perth proper for a drink at "CDB". Then we walked back to a restaurant called "Valentino's" for some great Italian food.
The plan was to see how tired we were after dinner and plan accordingly. Since we were all pretty tired (Matthew and JP had just flown in from Paris on Wednesday), we decided to head back to the house and call it an early evening. Gotta rest up for tomorrow! I think I lasted about 45 seconds after hitting the pillow on my bed... Mmmm, sleep is good!
