Sunday - July 22, 2007

Woke up without any real plan. Had breakfast on Leicester Square. Called London Eye and made reservations for 11. Zipped back to hotel and down to the Eye. Had a "Cupid's Capsule" all to ourselves! Definitely the way to do it. Fantastic view, great weather. We had a host who served us champagne and chocolate during the 30 minute "flight".

                Took river boat ride to Greenwich, with a very witty announcer with lots of facts for Rïck. Saw Canary Wharf area. Took DLO to Tube station, Jubilee line back to Waterloo area. Walked over the river and down The Strand. Had lunch at Pizza Express, very tasty. Walked back through Trafalgar Square where there was a steel band competition going on, then stopped at pub across from hotel. Back to room for a nap.

                            Packed, headed over to Old Compton Street. Wandered around a bit, several things were closed since it was Sunday night. Found a quiet restaurant for dinner. Had a drink at "Profile", then headed back to the hotel to bed.
