Tuesday - July 16, 2024Woodland
Woke up around 6:30, had coffee and oatmeal, then Fred brought us down to the house. After some time with Fred & Katie we went back up to the RV, packed up, and then headed south. Made it to Columbia Riverfront RV around 2pm. Had a nice pull through site facing the water. Had a relaxing afternoon in the RV before dinner.
Wednesday - July 17, 2024Gold Hill
Had an early coffee and breakfast, left the park around 7:15. Hit bad traffic in Portland, made it to the Evergreen Air and Space museum in Woodland just past 9am. Met our friends Eric & Frank there; they live nearby in NewBerg.
Had an interior tour of the Spruce Goose (the world's largest aircraft) which was really interesting. Toured the rest of the planes and the second space hangar, then said goodbye and headed south. It was about a 4 hour drive to the Valley of the Rogue campground where we had a nice back-in site. The temperature was about 94º so we just stayed in the RV and relaxed.
Thursday - July 18, 2024Vacaville
Got an early start heading south. The temperatures climbed as we went south, hitting 106º, then back down to 100º as we pulled into Vineyard RV in Vacaville after about a 6 hour drive. We quickly hooked up power and put out the awning - the A/Cs just barely kept up!
Friday - July 19, 2024
Had planned to do workouts but decided to skip to give us more time to fully pack up the RV. Headed south and made it to Antioch around 9:30. Then it was a quick ride back to SF and home.
