Snorkeling Near Wilea Early Friday morning we drover over to just South of Wilea, near Makena beach. We had heard that the snorkeling was really good in that area. After a bit of driving around, we parked the car and went into the water at "Graves Cavas" (and yes, there were two graves on the shore!). There were a couple of boats offshore, with a few dozen snorkelers a few hundred yards out. We swam around for a while and saw 5 different turtles along with hundreds of brightly colored fish. The water was nice and warm, the sun was shining, what a great day to be in the ocean.
