Sunday, September 6

Sunday morning had an early breakfast, then down to the dive center. Met Julian the dive-master. Headed out to the channel in the reef for a drift dive with lots of moray eels, then back closer to the hotel for the second dive, fairly low visibility.

Had Lunch by the pool, then took a water taxi over to the island of Taha'a where we had a 4x4 tour of the island. We drove up over the center of the island and ate some fresh coconut and bananas.

Then we visited a vanilla plantation and a cultured pearl farm. Learned about how the pearls are made, which was very interesting. Took the water taxi back just after sunset. Had dinner in the "Ohiri" restaurant. Very quiet, we were the only ones there for the first hour. Tasty food, good drinks, very nice.

                                              Monday, September 7

We went outside the reef for a dive, great visibility, saw three dolphins. Second dive was back in the channel, saw a bunch of anemones and clownfish. Said hi to Ray Jay on the way back to the room. Did some more reading back in the room, it was really sunny and windy outside. Had lunch, then a nice nap. Down to the pool for a happy hour drink, then to the main restaurant for dinner. Back in the room watched a bit of a movie on the laptop, then off to sleep.
