New Zealand 2009

Woke up, had breakfast, checked on helicopter tour. Too windy, cancelled. Investigated options, found potential plane flight over glaciers. Packed, bought some postcards, then called to see if the weather would work. They said yes so we checked out and headed to the airport.

Our pilot, Mason, did a great job of flying us around to some spectacular peaks and glaciers for an hour. Perfect end to the trip. Grabbed lunch, then headed to the airport for our flights home. Two hour flight to Auckland, then eleven and a half hour flight back to SFO. Awesome arrival, we were out in the limo within 15 minutes of landing, fastest ever!

New Zealand is a beautiful country, a great combination of Hawaii, Yosemite and Alaska, all on steroids. We are already planning another trip sometime in the next couple of years!
