The second day we retraced our steps back down the mountain, stopping at different locations than the day before.

Note: Our engine, No. 315, had never been to Silverton before. It hadn't moved under it's own power for over 50 years. This was it's first trip since being restored over the past 7 years.

Truth be told, one day would have been enough and the second day dragged on a bit. Rick was a trooper!

Back in Durango we found that Thursday is a busy night at the local restaurants! We got lucky and found two 'kitchen seats' at a nice restaurant where we had a bar overlooking to cooking area. It turned out to be a tasty dinner.
