Monday - May 14

After a tasty breakfast we jumped in the water for two dives a site named Great Wall. The visibility was great (150+) and we saw lots of fish. There was even a very docile grouper who followed us for a bit named Ben Jr.

Our third and fourth dives for the day were at Nancy's Cup o'Tea where there was more fantastic diving. The reef was in great condition with lots of marine life all over it. On the fourth dive we saw a shark swimming around. We were swimming with Fred and Tim and the shark ended up swimming between the four of us. We think he felt boxed in because he started to move quickly and made rapid turns. We all backed up a bit and gave him some space and he swam away. Exciting!

We did a night dive at the same site and Rick, of course, found an octopus (a really tiny one at that). Randy had the video camera along and caught it on tape. We noticed quite a number of worms and 'sea bugs' in the water that were attracted to our lights. Matt was not very amused by them...
