Sunday morning we had breakfast overlooking the ocean, then packed up the SUV we had rented and headed West. We stopped and bought a cooler and some snacks, then stopped again for sandwiches. We drove North along the road through Waimea Canyon, stopping at a couple of overlooks along the way. We ended up eating lunch with a fantastic panoramic view. At the end of the road we did a bit of hiking, snapping pictures as we went. Then we drove back down to the water and continued West to the end of the road. We went swimming in the ocean near Barking Sands beach. We started to walk to the beach barefoot, but almost burned our feet because the sand was so hot! The waves were quite big, but it was fun. Quizmo left his mark in the sand before we drove back to the hotel. We had some cocktails on the hotel terrace, then took a taxi to Roy's for dinner where we had a great time once again.
