Saturday morning we flew to Kauai and drove to the Hyatt Regency in Poipu, where we met our friends Jean-Pierre and Matthew by the pool. We had suggested that they join us in Hawaii a few months earlier, and they did! We had traveled with them before (to Spain and Ibiza) and we knew we'd have fun with them in Kauai. We had a few drinks by the pool, then took a taxi to Lihue for dinner. We had a great time and the food was yummy. Back at the hotel Rick was a bit tired, so we turned in for the night with big plans for Sunday.
