On March 24th Rick's siblings came to visit. It was Jim (Rick's brother) and his wife Katie, Shannon (Rick's sister) and her husband Chris, as well as Joe, Katie's brother. Joe is in culinary school in Houston and volunteered to come out to head up a dining extravaganza for us all.
On Friday we went to the Ferry Building for lunch at the Slanted Door and some shopping. That night we had a delicious dinner at Foreign Cinema. Afterwards Chris, Joe and Randy walked down to the Castro for a few drinks, then finished the evening with dancing at the EndUp, while Rick forced the movie Cloverfield on everyone who stayed home..
Saturday morning we had breakfast at the house and Joe started preparing the food. He and Katie were joined by our friend Alex who took the position of sous chef. They cooked most of the day.
Saturday evening our friends Jason, Matt and Marc joined us and we all ate Joe's wonderful creations, had champagne that Marc brought, and finished with Randy's espresso martinis. What a wonderful party!
Afterwards Katie convinced a bunch of us to go out dancing, so we went to DNA lounge for several hours and had a great time.
Sunday morning we walked down to Bagdad Cafe to have Rick's favorite, the Cobb Omelet. Some site-seeing followed, then lots of relaxing and snoozing on the couch. We finished the afternoon with a sushi dinner at Barracuda.
What a fun weekend! Thanks to everyone who participated, and especially to Joe for treating us to such a fantastic dinner!
