Ever since the squirrels in the neighborhood decided to decimate the shoots of our bamboo in the back yard last year, Rick has been waging war with them. The "Squirrel Relocation Program" started last summer and did wonders to reduce the number of squirrels around the yard. Even our neighbors noticed less of them around. He tried several different locations for the trap and bait and finally found the perfect combination: place the trap on top of the fence where they run, then bait it with shelled walnuts.

It's so effective that this morning there were TWO squirrels in the trap! Needless to say they were not very happy about being cooped up. They squawked and jumped around all the way to the park a few miles away where Rick let's them go. Good riddance!
